This package with Kerri Barclay, ScoopToo blog expert, includes advising families in learning more about their educational options at DPS (traditional, magnet, charter and innovation schools) and assisting families in navigating the school choice process while providing tips and advice on how to choose and rank their top 5 schools that suit their child’s needs and family values.
Educational Planning 101
Education Planning 101 is one of our signature consults for families with children in pre-school, middle and high school who need assistance in choosing the best school for their child. This package includes working with e.Merging consultants to create a strategic plan for their child’s education by identifying families’ values and what school philosophies align with those values. The consultants will cater to the individual needs of a family addressing topics such as highly gifted, special needs, and admission procedures. This consult is designed for both public and privates schools.
“Where do I go from here?”
The educational transition from Kindergarten, middle school and high school are often times of excitement and joy. These rites of passage can also be a time when parents and students need clarity on how to navigate the plethora of school choices. The “Where do I go from here” package includes e.Merging consultants using a hands on approach in gathering data from assessments, teacher interviews and observations to assist parents with this decision. Our recommendations are formulated on years of experience and in-depth knowledge of Denver area schools in both the public and private arena.

A+ Admissions Consult
Choosing a school can be an overwhelming and time consuming process. The A+ Admissions Consult is considered our “concierge” or full service consult designed for elementary, middle and high school students. This package includes e.Merging consultants guiding a family through the entire school selection process, assisting in strategic planning, organizing documents, application tips and deadline, narrowing choices, aligning values and coaching families through the final decision process.
- Preschool and elementary age children—package includes home visits, cognitive and achievement testing.
- Middle and high students—package includes student interviews, guidance on deadlines and testing, and consultants engaging students with making their own personal educational decisions.

RELOCATION:
Every year, thousands of families relocate to different cities pursuing career opportunities and a better lifestyle. While some family members may be excited and inspired by the move, others may feel a sense of stress, anxiety and fear of the unknown. e.Merging Educational Consulting recognizes that for young children the stress of moving is often related to school choice. As a result, e.Merging has developed a consulting package that directly addresses relocation and matching children with educational environments best suited for their success. The relocation package includes assisting families in navigating through the wide array of Denver schools, phone consultations with current teachers, therapists or special education team members, communication with admissions counselors and school choice coordinators to arrange school visits, admission interviews and shadow days.
PARENT EDUCATION:
Laura Barr works with families and couples in a private, coaching environment giving parents the opportunity to strategically plan around their own parenting questions and concerns. Laura integrates her knowledge as an educator, parent of four children, Love and Logic facilitator and child development expert to provide parents the tools they need to succeed.
